Location of Rigo 23 statue, formerly at Anmerican U?

[edit]

The article reads, "After the university received complaints from the FBI Agents Association, the statue was removed and relocated to the Main Museum in Los Angeles.[96]" The indicated source DOESN'T SAY THIS, but I queried Perplexity and it does mention that the statue passed through Los Angeles. "Main Museum" is not actually the full title of the place, which closed but may have been reopened. There's a Wikipedia page for the organizer of the museum, but I'm not sure there is one for the museum itself. But the statue seems to have been moved from place to place and Perplexity says the artist intended to move it to South Dakota in '23. Anyway, some fix is called for, maybe merely removal of the unsourced start of the statue's peregrinations. Andyvphil (talk) 11:25, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Location of Cole's Pistol?

[edit]

The article currently lists two separate discoveries of Agent Cole's .38 revolver: once under the seat in an RV, and once in a burned-out station wagon. Which is it? It is also problematic that neither account is sourced.

This is not an encyclopedia article

[edit]
This is an advocacy piece, like what one sees fabulated on behalf of racist cop-killers and the like (e.g., Wesley Cook, aka Mumia Abu-Jamal, the assassin of Officer Daniel Faulkner).
Whether Leonard Peltier fired the rounds which killed the FBI agents is legally irrelevant. However, Peltier convicted himself with his five mutually contradictory "alibis." No innocent man does that. 2603:7000:B23D:C116:61A8:E576:D199:CE4F (talk) 03:04, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Leonard Peltier (born September 12, 1944) is a Native American activist and a member of the American Indian Movement (AIM) who, following a controversial trial,"
The clause "following a controversial trial" is entirely special pleading, and has no business here. Actually, every part I quoted, except for "Leonard Peltier (born September 12, 1944)," is special pleading. 2603:7000:B23D:C116:61A8:E576:D199:CE4F (talk) 03:10, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update needed to cover period of August 2024 - December 2024, with January 2025 to be added later

[edit]

Since Peltier's latest parole hearing in June 2024 and its rejection in July 2024, there has been an increasing amount of activity encouraging President Joseph A. Biden to grant clemency to Peltier before Biden leaves office. Someone(s) with better access to information than I should track and add this information.
